The luxurious and comfortable B&B is an independent apartment with a single-floor layout, its own wheelchair-accessible entrance, and various amenities for a completely pleasant stay. The B&B is located in a separate, fully furnished apartment available all year round, allowing you to rent it for longer periods (from 5 nights). The property is situated in the middle of Beesd, a beautiful old village located in the West Betuwe along the river Linge. Picturesquely nestled in a landscape with fruit orchards and cultural-historical and natural monuments. Here, you can enjoy activities such as golfing, walking, and cycling, and in Beesd itself, you will find excellent shops, restaurants, and a caterer within walking distance of the apartment. The bakery on Voorstraat is less than a 5-minute walk away.
The B&B is situated right in the heart of the old village, yet it exudes tranquility. The property is fully equipped and therefore suited well for longer stays throughout the year. The B&B location is also conducive to your work, reading, or writing periods. The accommodation is excellently suited for business relationships and for wheelchair and/or walker use. The apartment is adapted to be completely accommodating for people with physical disabilities or impairments, making it suitable for respite care or temporary stays.

In the picturesque Beesd, you'll find an excellent brasserie, Meat the Butcher, this old butcher's shop located on Voorstraat is the place to enjoy delicious grilled meat or fish. This Brasserie is located 100 meters from B&B Bij de Bolle.
Jammo Já is an inviting and cozy Italian restaurant renowned for its delightful cuisine offerings, situated along the picturesque Voorstraat, widely regarded as the most scenic street in the Linge region, a mere 300 meters away from B&B Bij de Bolle.
Situated conveniently on the village square is By Isabella, where she prepares delicious oven dishes and a wide variety of other culinary delights, all available for you to bring back to the kitchen in your apartment, where you can easily heat the food up using either the kitchen oven or microwave.
On the estate belonging to and nearby Beesd, you'll find the Stapelbakker located on the Heerlijkheid Marienwaerdt estate.
And of course, at Butcher Arisse located on the village square, you can buy excellent meat and dishes/snacks that are freshly made. You can enjoy these in your own apartment at B&B Bij de Bolle. After all, a complete kitchen setup is at your disposal. BBQ use is allowed in the backyard provided you ensure that there is no (smoke) nuisance.
Exploring the Area
Explore the area using helpful resources such as regionaal-uitgelicht.nl, Stichting Bureau Toerisme, and bezoeklekenlinge.nl. In Leerdam, the National Glass Museum, the Glassblowing Studio, and the Hofje van Mevrouw van Aerden are interesting attractions.
In Herwijnen, you can explore Geofort. Along the Linge, you can cycle to Gorinchem and then travel by river to Slot Loevestein. On the way back to Beesd, you can travel via Brakel using the car ferry.
With Riveer, you can easily travel by boat with your bike between Gorinchem, Sleeuwijk, Woudrichem, the Biesbosch, and Hardinxveld. Especially in summer, there are many more departures available. Additionally, there is also a (car) ferry from Brakel to Herwijnen available. For more information and the most up-to-date schedule, you can visit the Riveer website and app.
The Waterbus offers a fun combination with bike rides to Dordrecht, Rotterdam via Papendrecht, and Kinderdijk. For example, if you want to spend a day in downtown Rotterdam, you can cycle along the Linge to Gorinchem and then take the Riveer boat. From there, you can disembark at Hardinxveld and cycle to Papendrecht or Sliedrecht, where you can transfer to the Waterbus. In the summer, you can also choose to transfer via the Biesbosch. The distance from B&B Bij de Bolle to the Sint-Jan Cathedral is 23 km, and Den Bosch is easily accessible by train from Beesd. The cities of Utrecht, Amsterdam, The Hague, and Rotterdam are also easily reachable by train.
On the Geldermalsen-Beesd-Hardinxveld-Dordrecht train route, you can bring your bike for free. This can be useful, for example, if you want to take the boat from Rotterdam to Dordrecht in the evening and then travel to Beesd by train.

Hiking, Cycling, or Using a Mobility Scooter Along the River Linge
Travel across the Marienwaerdt estate to the famous Appeldijk or via the foot ferry to the other side. Or go along the Linge to Buren or Gorinchem. Take a small loop to Rhenoy or Rumpt or stroll through the village of Beesd. On Saturdays, the Vrijheid windmill located on Molendijk is open for visits and the purchase of products.
Boating on the River Linge
The Linge offers delightful boating opportunities with the Rondvaartboat from Leerdam. There are various options for renting a boat, sloop, or canoe.
Boating on the River Waal
You can boat from Zaltbommel, Brakel, Gorinchem to Slot Loevestein, Woudrichem, the Biesbosch to Dordrecht and Rotterdam, bikes can be taken along.
